Oak exits stealth with $60M for AI identity OS

Oak, based in Tel Aviv and San Francisco, raised $60 million in seed funding to launch an AI Identity Operating System for human, AI and machine account governance.

Oak emerged from stealth with $60 million in seed funding to develop an AI-powered Identity Operating System that unifies identity governance for human users, AI agents and machine accounts. The company is based in Tel Aviv and San Francisco and says the platform is generally available.

The seed round was co-led by Accel, Greylock Partners and CRV, with participation from Hetz Ventures, AlphaDrive Ventures and a group of angel investors. Oak was founded in late 2025 and plans to use the capital to scale the platform and expand customer adoption.

Oak’s product replaces multiple disconnected identity tools with a single, continuously updated control plane. The platform connects to cloud, on-premises, SaaS and homegrown systems and can build connectors within hours, Oak says.

Instead of relying on static inventories, the system analyzes raw evidence to determine who or what an identity is and how it behaves. Oak maps each identity’s entitled access against actual usage to support lifecycle governance. The platform applies AI-driven risk scoring to enable real-time decisions and automated remediation.

Shai Morag, chief executive officer, co-founded Oak with Tal Marom, chief product officer. Morag previously founded Integrity-Project, Secdo and Ermetic, each of which was later acquired. Marom led product groups at Tenable and Salesforce.

Marom noted, “We spent months speaking with more than 100 CISOs and IAM leaders, and they all share the same problems of running too many disconnected tools, being unable to see how access is used, and having no way to govern AI agents.”

Identity and access management today often relies on separate tools-single sign-on, privileged access management, identity governance and administration, and monitoring-each covering part of the problem. Oak’s platform is built to aggregate signals across these environments and apply AI to make governance decisions across the full identity lifecycle.
