TigerByte Cyber Exits Stealth With $3M Seed Round

Hanover, N.H.-based TigerByte Cyber exited stealth after a $3 million seed round led by Hale Capital Partners and offers a plug-and-play Cyber Protection Suite for AI and edge devices.

Hanover, N.H.-based TigerByte Cyber said it exited stealth after raising $3 million in a seed round led by Hale Capital Partners, with participation from Tenon VC. The company offers a plug-and-play Cyber Protection Suite for AI and edge devices.

The Cyber Protection Suite, or CPS, is an ultra-compact, hardware-enforced appliance intended to add modern cybersecurity to legacy and mission-critical edge systems. Built capabilities include data validation, deep packet inspection, network segmentation and post-quantum encryption. TigerByte says CPS is designed to protect devices where they operate, including aircraft, drones, satellites and vehicles.

The company plans to use the seed funding to scale the technology for communications and navigation systems across military and commercial platforms and to expand U.S. manufacturing capacity. TigerByte reports it has secured more than $7 million in contracts with U.S. government agencies, including the U.S. Space Force, the U.S. Navy and DARPA.

TigerByte appears to carry forward core technology and personnel from WebSensing, a firm founded in 2016 that focused on single-chip network security products. The startup combines compact, hardware-backed protections with software features to secure constrained systems that have had limited cybersecurity controls.

According to CEO Sage Secilmis: “We founded TigerByte Cyber to bring the principles of modern cloud security to the edge, where mission-critical systems operate with limited protection and no margin for failure. By combining multiple DARPA-developed technologies, such as post-quantum encryption, data validation, and formal parsing, we are creating a new foundation for autonomous, resilient systems that can operate with complete confidence, maintain data integrity, and remain secure without disruption.”
