Gus Malezis, Director & Strategic Advisor
Gus began his career in information technology sales and services 30 years ago with roles at companies including Merisel, 3Com and McAfee. In 2005, he joined nCircle as Vice President of Worldwide Sales & Services and following its acquisition by Tripwire now heads Tripwire’s global sales organization.
Gus combines extensive knowledge of global markets including North America, Europe and Asia with strong technical knowledge to drive success in the competitive and rapidly changing IT marketplace. Gus has extensive background in information security and compliance, networking, network systems management, CRM, and application design and development.
Prior to joining Tripwire, Gus led worldwide sales, channels, inside sales, professional services and customer support for nCircle and McAfee, consistently delivering record revenue growth and unparalleled customer satisfaction. At McAfee Gus served in a number of executive leadership positions including Senior Vice President of Enterprise Products, a $500 million business, Senior Vice President of Advanced Products for the IPS/IDS group, and Vice President and GM of the Canadian business unit.
Gus loves photography, hiking, and sports involving speed, but not necessarily in that order. He is happiest when building things – wood pieces, metal works, and, naturally, sales teams and winning go to market sales strategies.
Gus is extremely curious and his desire to pull things apart, to understand how they work, got him into some early trouble (no clock remained standing in his family home) yet that curiosity has served him well in his professional life.
